Try new things. Make new friends. Joining Beavers is just the beginning of your big adventure.
The Beaver Colony is the second youngest Scouts section of the Scout Group.
Our Beaver Scouts meet every Monday and Thursday and take part in a wide range of fun and enjoyable scouting-based activities such as making things, playing games, going out on visits and most importantly, making new friends. Our Beavers are actively involved in the planning of our programme, ensuring it is adapted to their interests but also contributing towards their badge work.
Beaver Scouts are aged between 6 and 8 years old.
Being a Beaver Scout is all about growing and learning in small but mighty ways.
When you join Beavers, you’ll be introduced to lots of new activities, people and things. Here's everything you need to know.
Completing badges and awards challenges you to do more, learn more and be more. See what’s on offer and start your journey to the top.
Eventually, it’ll be time to say farewell to Beavers and embrace your next big adventure.
All of our leaders are trained volunteers. Some lead the Colony week in and week out. Others visit occasionally to help run a session or drop in to share their skills.
The Beavers meet at:
Due to our active programme, we often meet outside of these times as well.
On Monday night we proudly invested 12 new young mebers to the 10th Mansfield family of Scouting.
These were all part of our new Monday night Beavers Scout section, and they did all the leaders proud.
